If your cable from the battery to the starter is an AWG 2, it is rated for 178A in an engine space, so you should use a 175A fuse. I can confirm. The fuse holder mounted on the starter with the 30 amp fuse is for everything else except the starter. There is interference somewhere of the starter pedal linkage and a wire somewhere.
